You are on a Guide Camp with the unit on the lovely site of Homefield Hollow in the Derbyshire Peak District. The weather so far has been sunny and everyone was in good spirits when you went to bed in your tents after a campfire last night. In the night there was a big storm with lightning and crashing thunder.
You awake to the sound of birds and the sun shining on the canvas of the tent. You look at your watch and see it is 10 o’clock. Oh, yikes you are fire patrol and should have been up at 7.30am to lay and light the fire. Why didn’t the leaders get you up? You quickly wake up the rest of your patrol and get dressed, ready for your day.
